Verification Engineer

At Microsure in Son, Eindhoven area, we are developing a new first-of-a-kind microsurgery robot. By reducing the tremor and scaling down the movements of the surgeon, we can for example (re)connect extremely small blood and lymphatic vessels. This is extremely important for example when performing breast reconstruction surgery.

As a Verification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our Micro-surgical robot. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of software, electrical and mechanical engineers. You will be responsible for designing and executing test specifications on unit, subsystem and system level to validate the functionality, performance, safety and compliance of our robotic system used for micro surgical procedures.

Proactively develop and execute verification plans and test protocols to assess the safety performance and reliability of our medical robotics systems;

Define system verification tests and automation concepts for mechatronics and firmware;

Collaborate closely with the design and development teams to understand system requirements and ensure verification activities align with product specifications;

Design and implement test cases and test scenarios to validate system functionality, precision, and performance under various operating conditions;

Ensure repeatable, traceable test cases and proactively collect and analyse test data, perform root cause analysis, and provide detailed reports on test results, highlighting any deviations or anomalies;

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address identified issues (e.g. integration work) and participate in the resolution process in a pragmatic and solution-oriented manner;

Basic statistical knowledge to identify sample size, duration, statistical analysis variation;

Maintain accurate documentation of verification activities, including test plans, protocols, reports, and traceability matrices.Experience requirement that’s an indication of whether it’s a senior, medior or junior position.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, robotics, software or technical oriented;

Proven 3-7 years of working experience as Verification Engineer, preferably in the healthcare sector;

Understanding test circumstances in worst case conditions;

Full understanding of test methodologies and techniques;

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python) for test automation and data analysis;

Understanding production processes and relevant quality procedures;

You have a hands-on mentality in developing test cases and get energy from developing these test cases yourself;

Critical mindset to what is under test (release, WIP etc., Configuration management);

Experience with working in a regulated environment;

Structured approach to problem solving and testing;

Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);

Enthusiasm for working in a start-up / scale-up environment with dynamic requirements;

Positive attitude, integrity, flexibility, can-do mentality;
