Senior IT Architect

We are looking for a Senior IT Architect to help shape the future of payment and settlement services for a client in the banking sector in Amsterdam.

In this strategic role, you will define technology roadmaps, guide platform modernization and design secure, scalable and resilient architecture solutions. You'll work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure the technology landscape supports innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory requirements.

Design and define target architectures for modern payment platforms.

Drive cloud-native architecture and integration strategies across systems and applications.

Develop architecture standards and reusable design principles.

Review technical solutions and ensure they meet performance, security, and resilience requirements.

Advise stakeholders on technology decisions and platform improvements.

Contribute to architecture governance and promote best practices across teams.

5+ years of experience as an IT or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.

Experience within a regulated industry, preferably banking or financial services.

Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.

Experience with integration technologies, APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQ.

Familiar with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary up to €6.900 per month, based on 36 hours.
