We are looking for an Application Security Engineer who helps strengthen secure software development across the organization, for a client in the banking sector. You will review applications and code from a security perspective, advise development teams on vulnerabilities and mitigations and contribute to a more secure application landscape.

In this role, you will perform security assessments, secure code reviews and threat modelling activities for applications and projects. You will work closely with development teams to identify vulnerabilities, validate findings and support remediation. You will also provide security architecture recommendations and help teams apply secure coding standards in practice.

A key part of the role is working with application security tooling such as SAST, DAST and SCA , and translating technical risks into clear, actionable advice for stakeholders.

You have a strong background in application security , secure development and security architecture .

You know how to assess applications, perform code reviews and guide teams in resolving vulnerabilities effectively.

Experience with cloud security and hands-on use of SAST, DAST and SCA tools is important.

You are proactive, independent, and able to combine technical depth with strong advisory and stakeholder management skills.

You can explain security risks in a way that is understandable for both technical and business audiences.

Salary up to €6.500 gross per month, based on 36 hours.
