Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer for a client in the banking sector, to support the delivery and continuous improvement of data solutions within a regulatory reporting environment.

Design, build and optimize data pipelines and processing solutions.

Develop and maintain data products using PySpark, Python and Databricks.

Contribute to CI/CD processes and automated testing practices.

Support data orchestration and integration workflows using Azure technologies.

Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews and quality standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders and fellow engineers to deliver business and regulatory requirements.

Coach less experienced team members and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Extensive experience as a Data Engineer in enterprise environments.

Strong expertise in PySpark, Python, and Databricks.

Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps.

Solid understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and deployment automation.

Proven ability to improve data platforms, influence technical decisions, and deliver production-ready solutions.

Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.
