Nikon is a globally recognized brand with a rich history in optical technologies: from cameras and lenses to binoculars, microscopy, and medical imaging. As the European headquarters, Nikon Europe B.V. in Amstelveen serves as the hub for sales, marketing, service, and logistics across the region. While relatively compact, with about 120 colleagues in the Netherlands, the organization is highly international in focus, coordinating operations across numerous European markets.

On behalf of Nikon Europe, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead strategic initiatives that protect and strengthen business operations across the continent. In this position, you will support all Nikon Group companies in Europe and report directly to the General Counsel.

Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues

As Compliance Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing compliance programs, policies, and procedures to prevent and address violations. Your work will include managing risk assessments, conducting investigations, and delivering training to foster a strong culture of compliance. You will also ensure that all Nikon Group companies in Europe operate in line with applicable laws, Nikon’s compliance framework, and internal controls.

Design, implement, and maintain compliance risk management programs.

Develop, update, and deliver policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

Monitor regulatory developments relevant to Nikon Group companies in Europe.

Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and management.

Coordinate and follow up on internal control and governance programs.

Act as the European point of contact for compliance matters.

This job requires solid experience in compliance management

Nikon is looking for a pragmatic, hands-on compliance manager who combines strategic thinking with a practical mindset. You bring solid experience in compliance management, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Law, Business, or a related field.

6+ years’ experience in compliance, audit follow-up, or similar roles in a multinational (ideally in technology).

Strong knowledge of compliance programs, European legal matters, and business ethics.

Proven track record in driving initiatives, monitoring activities and managing (small) teams.

Analytical and structured, able to identify risks and translate them into action.

Excellent communication skills in English; skilled in reports and training.

Proactive, result-driven, and self-managing.

Based in the Netherlands and within commuting distance of the office.

Compliance Risk Management certification (or equivalent).

Project management and stakeholder collaboration experience.

International mindset, comfortable in diverse, multicultural settings.
