For their office located in Oss, The Netherlands, we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant Europe with sense for business. You will report directly to the Vice President Finance Europe and supports him/her in planning & control activities and in improvement projects.

The Financial Accountant Europe is responsible for the correctness, timelines and completeness of the financial accounts of Certara’s Dutch entities and check and process the information provided by local accounting firms for the Swiss, Spanish and Portuguese entities.

Execute accounting activities in the purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash and record-to-report processes of the Dutch entities

check and process supplier invoices; judge and handle expense claims

prepare client invoices together with project leads and process them in the financial system; process bank statements

create monthly journal entries and accruals, provide monthly reports from the financial system; continuously maintain and improve these reports; process and align intercompany relations; provide auditors with input for the yearly financial statements; process VAT submissions; develop, process and improve KPI reports

To be successful in this position you must be an ambitious person who is looking for growth in responsibility and in competences. You have a completed bachelor’s degree in finance.

You are used to work within an international environment for at least 5 years, experience in Financial Reporting and have knowledge of project accounting. You are the point of contact for several parties such as outside accounting firms and other Certara companies.

A big plus is if you are familiar with Netsuite (Oracle based), Mavenlink (project management) or Salesforce (CRM). You are an advanced user of MS Excel.

You can manage changing and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Also you have the ability to handle highly sensitive/confidential information & use utmost discretion.

Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills, are self-motivated and you are used to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency.

As the company language is English you are required to master this language well. The local language is Dutch.
