We are seeking a forward-thinking Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at our Central Office. This role is not your standard health and safety coordinator position; it’s an opportunity to lead and shape the improvement of our health and safety systems from the ground up.

In this role, you will be tasked with reviewing and overhauling our entire management system, encompassing all documentation and standards, with a primary focus on standardizing processes across regions. Working closely with regional teams, you will ensure alignment and consistency in health and safety practices. Your responsibilities will also include identifying and implementing better software solutions to enhance our health and safety management system and support during audits.

Furthermore, you will develop and implement a comprehensive plan aimed at reducing accidents and incidents within our organization. Utilizing principles from the SHEQ management system, based on ISO 9001, ISO 45001 you will drive continuous improvement in health and safety practices.

Additionally, you will actively participate in the field to gain insights into operational challenges and ensure the effective implementation of health and safety initiatives. Collaboration with experienced professionals within the organization will be essential to leverage best practices and ensure the successful execution of health and safety programs.

Lastly, you will be responsible for establishing new reporting procedures for accidents and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and analysis to prevent future occurrences.

You have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a comparable role.

You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in safety science (For instance Integrale Veiligheidskunde (I.V.K.)).

You have a keen interest and expertise in SHEQ Management Systems (ISO45001, ISO9001, etc.).

You have proficiency in English, spoken and written. An additional language is beneficial.

You are willing to travel internationally up to 15% of your time.
