We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Perishables division in the Air Logistics department based at Schiphol.

Your Role

As a Business Development Manager at Kuehne+Nagel, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic growth initiatives for our perishables logistics solutions. You will identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and drive revenue growth in the perishables sector. Your role will be crucial in expanding our market presence and delivering innovative logistics solutions to our clients in the perishables industry.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategic business development plans for the perishables division

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the perishables sector

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies

  • Creating and presenting comprehensive logistics solutions tailored to client needs

  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of proposed solutions

  • Leading complex contract negotiations and managing the full sales cycle

  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities

    • Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in logistics or perishables sector

  • Proven track record of achieving significant sales targets and growing business portfolios

  • Strong understanding of air freight logistics and perishables supply chain requirements

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

  • Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities

  • Fluent in English, Dutch is an advantage

  • Willingness to travel within the region

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field
