We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Flowers division in the Air Logistics department based in Aalsmeer.

Your Role

As a Business Development Manager at Kuehne+Nagel’s Flowers division, you will spearhead the growth of our specialized flower logistics solutions. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining strategic partnerships within the international flower trade industry. Your expertise will be essential in strengthening our position as a leading logistics provider in the flower industry.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing business growth strategies specific to the flower logistics sector

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key players in the international flower trade

  • Creating customized logistics solutions for flower growers, traders, and importers

  • Managing and growing existing client relationships while developing new business

  • Collaborating with operational teams to ensure service excellence

  • Monitoring market developments and identifying new opportunities in the flower industry

  • Representing Kuehne+Nagel at industry events and trade shows

    • Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the flower industry

  • Strong network within the international flower trade

  • Deep understanding of flower logistics and supply chain requirements

  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

  • Fluent in English, Dutch is an advantage

  • Knowledge of additional languages relevant to flower-producing regions is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field
