The International Health Centre the Hague is seeking an Orthoptist and Technical Ophthalmic Assistant (TOA) for 8 hours per week.

The International Health Centre the Hague (IHCH) is a dynamic Medical Facility that offers primary, paramedical, pharmaceutical, dental and medical specialist care, all under one roof. The services we offer are tailored to the specific needs and wishes of a diverse patient base of expatriates, internationals and Dutch citizens in The Hague and its surroundings.

Our team consists of committed, friendly and highly qualified, expert caregivers. With approximately 110 staff and 25 nationalities, the IHCH has a unique international character with English as well as other languagues widely spoken across the GP, Policlinic, Prevention, Patient Relations, Pharmacy and Dentistry departments.

This is a dynmic and combined role for an orthoptist who can undergo independent orthoptic consultations, and offer assistance to the ophthalmologist as TOA.

We are looking for an orthoptist who will provide visual and binocular function testing to patients, and offer clear information, guidance and instructions. You hold independent orthoptic consultations and prepare bespoke diagnosis and treatment plans that you discuss wth clarity and integrity to patients.

You are prepared to take on the role of TOA, assisting the opthalmologist, offering support during their consultation hours, and evaluating and adjusting bespoke orthopic diagnosis and treatment plans for follow-up treatments

We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified orthoptist, preferably with at least 1 year work experience as an orthoptist.

You are able to work independently and can assess well when a consultation with an ophthalmologist is necessary.

You are proactive, collegial and can work well in a team.

We offer either a ZZP contract, a 0-hour contract or a 12-month fixed term position with the prospect of extending the employment contract to an indefinite period. Please inform us of your preferred option.

De diensten die wij aanbieden zijn afgestemd op de specifieke behoeften en wensen van een divers patiëntenbestand van expats, internationals en Nederlanders in Den Haag en omgeving.

Ons team bestaat uit betrokken, vriendelijke en hooggekwalificeerde, deskundige zorgverleners. Met ongeveer 110 medewerkers en 25 nationaliteiten heeft het IHCH een uniek internationaal karakter, waarbij zowel Engels als andere talen worden gesproken op de afdelingen Huisarts, Polikliniek, Preventie, Patiëntenrelaties, Apotheek en Tandheelkunde.

Dit is een dynmische en gecombineerde rol voor een orthoptist die zelfstandig orthoptische consulten kan doen en assistentie kan bieden aan de oogarts als TOA.

Als zelfstandig orthoptist biedt je begeleiding en ondersteuning aan, aan vooral jonge patiënten waarbij visueel en binoculair functieonderzoek essentieel is. Je geeft duidelijke instructies, informatie en begeleiding toe, houdt zelfstandig orthoptisch spreekuur en stelt diagnose- en behandelplannen op maat op die je helder en integer met patiënten bespreekt.

Je bent bereid om de rol van TOA op je te nemen, waarbij je de oogarts assisteert, ondersteuning biedt tijdens hun spreekuren en op maat gemaakte orthoptische diagnose- en behandelplannen voor vervolgbehandelingen evalueert en bijstelt.

Wij zoeken een enthousiaste en gediplomeerde orthoptist, bij voorkeur met minimaal 1 jaar werkervaring als orthoptist. Je bent in staat zelfstandig te werken en kunt inschatten wanneer overleg met een oogarts noodzakelijk is.

Je bent proactief, collegiaal en kunt goed in teamverband werken.

We bieden een ZZP-contract, een 0-urencontract of een functie voor 12 maanden met uitzicht op verlenging van het dienstverband tot onbepaalde tijd. Geef aan ons door welke optie je voorkeur heeft.
