Interim Lead Developer – Human Investment Management

I am searching an experienced Interim Lead Developer to join my clients team and play a pivotal role in driving the development of their digital standards and frameworks. As the Lead Developer, you will work closely with the technology team to develop and implement digital solutions that meet the needs of the industry.

You will work as a functional leader for the engineering team, building the artifacts required for fast and industry-wide adoption of their standards.

You will lead the developer community and own the developer platform.

You will make the technical choices for their Reference Implementation and Conformance Tool Kits in alignment with the industry subject matter experts and my clients team.

You will be the gatekeeper that ensures code security and integrity for my client standards.

As Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for determining the best components and toolset for my client to use going forward.

My client sets standards for their industry. These standards underpin core business processes. Their technical standards are primarily defined as REST APIs. They are adopted globally by parties.

Their technology stack consists of the following tools:

Java (this is not negotiable – you must be an experienced Java developer)

The ideal candidate lives in The Netherlands and will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to foster teamwork between internal and external project participants and to elevate the quality of their output. As the successful candidate for this role, you will be expected to:

Lead the development of my clients digital standards and frameworks, including the design and development of APIs, and other digital solutions.

Work closely with the different value streams to ensure that their digital solutions meet the needs of the container shipping industry and are built to the highest quality standards.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that their digital solutions are aligned with industry needs and standards.

Lead the development of test plans and oversee the testing of their digital solutions to ensure that they are robust, scalable, and secure.

Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them develop their skills and meet their goals.

Keep up to date with the latest developments in technology and use this knowledge to inform the development of their digital solutions.

Take part in agile DevOps processes, working in sprints.
