PHP - Full Stack Developer

Build the technology behind FiveX and help turn marketplace, advertising and profitability data into product workflows that ecommerce teams use every day.

About the role

FiveX engineers ship software that operators touch daily, profit analytics, advertising workflows, exports and integrations that must stay fast as datasets grow.

You work across backend services and pragmatic frontend surfaces with emphasis on clarity, maintainability and measurable reliability.

You design and implement features end-to-end where sensible, database modeling, service boundaries, queue-backed jobs and UI wiring when needed.

You collaborate with product and customer-facing teammates to scope increments that reduce operational risk instead of chasing speculative perfection.

You participate in code review, testing discipline and production readiness habits suitable for a small engineering team.

What you will do

• Implement features across backend and customer-visible flows with tests appropriate to risk.
• Improve performance or reliability hotspots surfaced by monitoring or customer incidents.
• Partner with peers on schema migrations, rollout strategy and backwards-compatible deployments.
• Document meaningful decisions so onboarding stays lightweight.

Technical environment

Expect PHP-heavy services with modern patterns, relational data modeling for commerce workloads and occasional frontend work aligned with the FiveX design system.

Integration-heavy domains mean resilient connectors, observability and defensive parsing against messy upstream payloads.

What you bring

• Professional experience shipping PHP applications beyond tutorials.
• Comfort with SQL, transactional thinking and pragmatic API design.
• Experience with Git workflows, automated testing at useful breadth and production troubleshooting basics.
• Eligible to work from Amsterdam hub when synchronous collaboration is needed.
