Oceanco specialises in building large custom yachts up to 140 meters in length. Offering a highly personalised service to clients, Oceanco applies innovative design and technology to create one-of-a-kind bespoke yachts that respect the vision of both the Owner and the designer.

We are a project-oriented management company outsourcing the main yacht building packages to our strategic co-makers. Are you ready to shape the sustainable future of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization? We’re looking for a proactive and visionary  Sustainability Manager  to lead our sustainability journey, drive impactful change, and serve as an ambassador both within and beyond our organization.

As our  Sustainability Manager , you will take the lead in  developing, steering, and executing our long-term sustainability strategy . Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure that sustainability becomes a core element of our business strategy and daily operations.

You’ll be the driving force behind our five-year sustainability roadmap, guiding strategic decisions while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices. Your leadership will directly support our ambition to be a frontrunner in sustainable business.

Design and implement a visionary, actionable  5-year sustainability strategy

Lead sustainability initiatives from concept to realization in line with approved goals

Ensure compliance with applicable  laws, regulations, and internal policies

Collaborate with key  internal departments  and  external stakeholders  to embed sustainability across the organization

Represent the company  in external   forums, networks, and industry events as an ambassador for sustainability

Drive organizational awareness, alignment, and  accountability for sustainability goals

Provide  strategic  insights and progress updates to the Board and Directors

Spot trends, anticipate changes, and position the company as a  trendsetter in sustainability .

University degree with a 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience

Fluent in English; Dutch speaking highly desired

Some experience  in sustainability strategy and execution

Understanding of  environmental laws, rules, and regulations

Proactive attitude  that drives and enthusiast people with your passion and intrinsic motivation

Strong  strategic thinking  and the ability to translate vision into action

Clear  stakeholder management skills  – internally and externally

Strong  communication and influencing abilities  across all levels of the organization

A passion for sustainability and a genuine desire to  make a difference

Experience representing an organization in public and professional forums is a plus.
