We are looking for a motivated Junior / Mid-Level Photonic Process Engineer to join our growing team in Eindhoven and contribute directly to the fabrication of photonic integrated circuits.

Your Opportunity

As a Photonic Process Engineer, you’ll play an important role in the cleanroom fabrication of advanced photonic chips. You will work hands-on with semiconductor and photonic processing steps, support process development, and collaborate with R&D engineers and project teams to help bring new photonic designs into production.

You will be involved in activities such as:

  • Cleanroom Fabrication: Fabricating photonic chips in a cleanroom environment.

  • Semiconductor and Photonic Processing: Executing and optimizing semiconductor and photonic processing steps.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Equipment Operation: Operating, monitoring, and maintaining cleanroom equipment.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Process Development: Supporting process development, characterization, and yield improvement activities.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Documentation: Documenting fabrication procedures, process results, and technical observations.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Collaboration: Working closely with R&D engineers and project teams to bring new photonic designs into production.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Microelectronics, or a related field.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Junior to mid-level experience in semiconductor, photonics, MEMS, microfabrication, or a related technical environment.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • A strong interest in hands-on laboratory and cleanroom work.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item -->
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Fluency in English.
