Vacaturetekst
How do we make memory-based decisions? Which role does arousal play?
If you are, like us, interested in finding out more with the help of MEG and pupillometry, come do your Master‘s Thesis and/or internship with us at Donner Lab (https://tobiasdonner.net/ ; Section Computational Cognitive Neuroscience, Department for Neurophysiology and Pathophysiology, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf). In this project, we want to study the influence of phasic arousal (as indicated by pupil responses) on replay and decisions from memory in a 2-day memory paradigm.
We are looking for a master’s student with a background in Cognitive Neuroscience or related fields. Experience with programming (Python or Matlab) and neural data preprocessing or analysis is preferred. Ideally you would join us in Hamburg for half a year or longer. Tentative start from autumn 2024 onwards.
You would be involved in conducting the MEG study and run your own analysis of the data (under our supervision) for a research question that can be developed during the first weeks.
We offer a research assistant position going along with it. The project includes collaborations with Nicolas Schuck and Lars Schwabe (Universität Hamburg) and Jan Willem de Gee (University of Amsterdam).
Reach out for more information and application. We look forward to hearing from you!
