At Progress, the Senior Project Manager Engineering will take on exciting challenges in life sciences projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in design, construction, qualification, and the optimization of existing facilities and processes.

Work with or lead multidisciplinary teams, including experts such as architects, end-users, and fit-out installers.

Lead projects and support feasibility studies.

Manage or participate in design and construction projects.

Provide expert advice on GMP and high-containment manufacturing for facility fit-out, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Translate customer needs into effective design solutions.

Define and lead the qualification process to ensure facilities meet GMP and Biosafety licensing requirements.

Experience : 10+ years of experience in projects and/or operations within the life sciences industry, with a strong focus on engineering and biotech processing;

Expertise : Expert in feasibility studies, basic and/or conceptual design studies for production processes, process installations, cleanrooms, clean utilities and facilities. In-depth knowledge of key-points of design, risk mitigation, and contamination control;

Knowledge of pharmaceutical production equipment and the cGMP/EU/FDA requirements;

Education : University or Higher Professional Education (HBO) degree in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical of mechanical engineering or similar;

Project Management:  Proven track record on leading projects from design to completion stage with a strong stakeholder management, planning and communication skills in Dutch and English;

Mobility: Demonstrates flexibility and readiness to travel when required for successful project execution and effective client collaboration.
