Role overview

We’re seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join an international team delivering cloud-based solutions for responsible investment and trading platforms. You’ll architect, build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines that power analytics, research and front-office decision-making.

Key responsibilities

Translate complex business requirements into scalable data workflows and system designs

Configure and maintain Azure DevOps repositories for version control and CI/CD

Manage Databricks workspaces, dependencies and connections

Develop, document and test PySpark/.NET data pipelines adhering to best practices

Collaborate with analytics, BI and business teams to refine data models

Validate and challenge pipeline and application designs for performance and reliability

Support system, integration and end-user testing, as well as smooth deployments

Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers within an agile, multidisciplinary squad

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in data modeling, querying and pipeline development

Expert in Python (PySpark) and strong familiarity with object-oriented programming (.NET)

Proven experience with Databricks and Azure Data Platform

Comfortable working with complex financial or trading datasets

Solid understanding of DevOps principles and version-control workflows

Highly developed communication skills in English

Self-motivated, well-organized team player

Experience setting up and maintaining SQL databases

Web development background (JavaScript, TypeScript, frameworks)

Prior work in Agile/Scrum environments

Coaching or mentoring experience with junior developers
