We are looking for a Python Machine Learning Engineer with a strong interest in computer vision and applied AI. In this role, you will work on production grade systems that process live video streams and transform them into real time insights for mobility and infrastructure applications. You will be part of a small, highly technical team where ownership and impact are key.

Our client is a Dutch technology scale up focused on building intelligent computer vision solutions for mobility and infrastructure environments. Their technology processes live camera data and translates it into actionable insights that help improve the use and management of physical spaces.

Over the past decade, the company has grown a strong customer base consisting of public infrastructure organizations and commercial mobility operators. With successful deployments across multiple European countries, the company is continuing its international expansion.

The engineering team is compact, pragmatic, and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on ownership and building robust production systems.

As a Python Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on the core of the product: computer vision models that detect and interpret objects in real time video streams.

Developing and improving production ready machine learning models in Python

Working on computer vision solutions for real world applications

Translating research and new ML techniques into practical implementations

Supporting deployment of new features and client implementations

Collaborating closely with engineers in a small, high ownership team

The role is approximately split between Python software engineering and applied machine learning, with a strong focus on production environments rather than academic research.

Several years of professional experience as a Python Software Engineer

Hands on experience with Machine Learning and or Computer Vision

Strong interest in applied AI and building production systems

Comfortable working in a small, fast moving team

Based in the Netherlands, preferably within commuting distance of the Randstad

English working proficiency is sufficient, Dutch is not required

Salary up to €6,000 gross per month based on 40 hours

Holiday allowance according to Dutch standards

Bonus scheme up to one month salary based on performance
