Senior AWS Engineer (Data Platforms) sought by leading financial services organisation based in the city of London.

A leading financial services firm is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Engineer (Data Platforms) to support an AWS cloud programme.

You'll design and build scalable data pipelines, cloud-native integration services, and event-driven solutions across front and back-office systems. This role combines Data Engineering, AWS Platform Engineering, and Production Support , with a strong focus on delivery, automation, and knowledge transfer.

AWS: Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Athena, RDS, CloudWatch

CI/CD (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, GitLab)

Event-driven architectures (Kinesis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)

Monitoring, support, and platform optimisation

Build and maintain AWS data pipelines and integration platforms

Deliver scalable batch and near real-time data solutions

Support production systems and platform reliability

Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives

Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams

Mentor internal engineers and establish sustainable operating models
