We're looking for a Motion Designer (Immersive Experiences) to join our team at Mr.Beam in Utrecht. From museums and projection shows to digital art installations and themed entertainment, you'll create immersive experiences that people step into.

Mr. Beam designs and develops  Immersive Experiences ,  Digital Art Installations , and  Audiovisual Productions  for audiences around the world. We operate at the intersection of art and technology, creating work for brands, cultural institutions, theme parks, and live events. You can watch our showreel  here .

Together, we create immersive experiences that combine storytelling, design, and technology. As our projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, we are looking for a  Motion Designer  who can bring stories to life through design and animation principles.

Every project is different. From museum experiences and projection shows to digital art installations and immersive environments, we are constantly challenged to create work that is both ambitious and achievable.

We are looking for someone who combines creativity with craftsmanship and enjoys turning strong ideas into compelling experiences.

We believe the best work is created when designers, animators, composers, and technical specialists challenge and inspire one another. As professional artists, we strive to deliver work at a high level and on time.

Projects can range from museum exhibitions and projection shows to digital art installations, theme park attractions, and immersive storytelling experiences.

Depending on the project, your role may include:

✦ Translating storyboards and style frames into animation

✦ Working closely with directors and designers to develop visual concepts and bring them         to life

✦ Creating motion, visual effects, compositing, and final image finishing

✦ Testing content in real-world environments and projection spaces

✦ Contributing to multidisciplinary projects from concept to delivery

✦ Strong animation skills with a solid understanding of animation principles, visual                      storytelling, design fundamentals, and motion aesthetics.

✦ Excellent After Effects skills with experience in compositing, image integration, final                image quality, and attention to detail.

✦ Experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar 3D software.

✦ An understanding of how motion, rhythm, scale, and context shape audience                          experiences within immersive environments.

✦ The ability to work independently, take responsibility, solve problems, and move work            forward when needed.

✦ Comfortable developing and refining work together with designers, producers, and                clients throughout the creative process.

✦ Experience with Unreal Engine or TouchDesigner is a plus.

✦ You actively develop your craft and enjoy exploring new creative possibilities.

✦ You enjoy working across disciplines and strengthening ideas through discussion,                     experimentation, and iteration.

✦ You balance creative ambition with production realities.

✦ You think beyond the screen and consider how audiences experience content in physical      space.

✦ You contribute more than execution alone and help elevate the quality of the work                around you.
